The senior storekeeper supervises daily store and warehouse operations, ensuring that materials, spare parts, and supplies are received, stored, recorded, and issued accurately, securely, and on time.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily store and warehouse operations.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, spare parts, and supplies against purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, handling, and preservation of inventory items.
• Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory transactions in the company's ERP system.
• Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment requests to prevent shortages.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies with inventory records.
• Issue materials and spare parts only against authorized requests.
• Monitor slow-moving, damaged, obsolete, and expired items and report them to management.
• Ensure compliance with inventory management procedures, internal controls, and safety standards.
• Prepare periodic stock reports and maintain proper documentation.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure materials are available when needed.
• Guide and supervise store personnel and ensure the cleanliness and security of the warehouse.

Job Summary

Addis Power Motors is seeking a qualified and experienced Logistics Supervisor to oversee import and export operations, international shipments, customs clearance, transportation, and logistics coordination to ensure efficient and timely delivery of vehicles, spare parts, and automotive equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage international shipping and import operations, particularly shipments from China.
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs clearing agents.
• Monitor customs clearance, HS Code classification, import permits, and shipping documentation.
• Ensure accuracy of commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and other import documents.
• Coordinate port operations, transit shipments, and transportation from Djibouti to Ethiopia.
• Monitor shipment schedules, logistics costs, and delivery timelines.
• Maintain proper logistics records and prepare regular reports to management.
• Identify logistics challenges and recommend cost-effective solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a procurement strategy aligned with the factory project plan.
• Prepare procurement plans, schedules, budgets, and supplier lists.
• Set procurement priorities based on project milestones and critical requirements.
• Identify procurement risks and prepare mitigation plans.
• Establish clear procurement procedures, approvals, and controls.
• Coordinate procurement of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and utility materials.
• Source and manage contractors for construction, installation, fabrication, erection, and commissioning.
• Clearly define and control supplier and contractor scopes.
• Review quotations, BOQs, specifications, drawings, and commercial proposals with the Engineering team.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify reliable local and international suppliers.
• Assess suppliers based on technical capability, financial strength, capacity, quality, delivery performance, and references.
• Maintain an approved supplier/vendor database.
• Build and manage strong supplier relationships.
• Conduct supplier visits and inspections when required.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve quality, delivery, and commercial issues.
• Prepare and manage RFQs, RFPs, tenders, and competitive bidding processes.
• Obtain and compare competitive quotations.
• Lead negotiations on price, payment terms, delivery, warranties, penalties, guarantees, installation, commissioning, and after-sales support.
• Prepare bid comparison reports and procurement recommendations for management approval.
• Negotiate favorable Incoterms, logistics, taxes, duties, insurance, and other commercial terms.
• Focus on the best overall value, not just the lowest price.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs agents, banks, and logistics providers.
• Manage shipping and import documentation and customs clearance.
• Track critical shipments and resolve logistics delays.
• Control total landed costs, including freight, insurance, duties, taxes, and clearance charges.
• Prepare, review, and negotiate purchase orders, supply agreements, service contracts, and equipment contracts.
• Ensure contracts clearly define scope, specifications, milestones, payments, delivery dates, warranties, penalties, and acceptance requirements.
• Monitor contract compliance and manage variations, claims, and disputes.
• Maintain complete procurement records and documentation.
• Ensure supplier payments are linked to agreed milestones and verified deliverables.
• Maintain a procurement schedule linked to the overall project schedule.
• Closely monitor long-lead items and critical procurement packages.
• Track procurement budget, committed costs, actual costs, and forecasts.
• Identify cost-saving 
• Report procurement progress, risks, delays, and cost issues to senior management.
• Ensure procurement does not delay construction, installation, commissioning, or production start-up.
