Organization: Organization for the Development of Women and Children in Ethiopia (ODWaCE)
Duty Station: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (with possible field travel)
Organizational Background: ODWaCE is a national non-governmental organization committed to promoting the rights and well-being of women, children, adolescents, and youth. The organization implements development and humanitarian programs focusing on gender equality & women empowerment, prevention of HTPs & GBV, inclusive education & health, governance, peace and security, Humanitarian response, evidence generation & advocacy, and community empowerment.

Nine-month contract with possibility of extension depending on performance and availability of funds

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation of all financial transactions.
• Record daily financial transactions using Peachtree accounting software.
• Prepare financial reports, budgets, and financial statements.
• Financial management and monitor budget utilization.
• Prepare payment vouchers, payroll, tax declarations, and ensure proper documentation.
• Manage bank reconciliation and monthly closing of accounts.
• Maintain proper filing systems for financial documents.
• Ensure compliance with organizational financial procedures & government and donor requirements.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
