Invitation for Bids-Printing of Training Bulletins and Toolkits

Edukans Foundation Ethiopia invites eligible and qualified printing companies to submit quotations for the printing and delivery of 3 Training Bulletins and 3 toolkits.

Edukans Foundation is a non-governmental organization working in different regions of the country on education and skills programs.

Objective of the procurement

To engage a qualified supplier to print, bind and deliver training bulletins and toolkits as per detail specification.

Technical Specifications

1. 1. 16.8cm by 23.4cm portrait print
   2. Both side print
   3. Full color print
   4. Inner pages: 150 gsm paper
   5. Cover pages: 250 gsm art card paper laminated and high-resolution full color print
   6. Perfect/ book binding
   7. Trimmed and neatly finished

Note: One sample of previously printed material demonstrating experience in printing similar publications shall be submitted as part of the bid. 

Financial Specification

The total desired quantity to be printed is 1750 pieces. However, to give allowance to possible increase or decrease in quantity, bidders are required to submit financial bids for both the below quantity brackets.

1. 1,000–1,499 copies (give unit price including VAT per copy)
2. 1,500–2,000 copies (give unit price including VAT per copy)

Note: The second quantity bracket (3.2. above) will be used for primary bid evaluation.

 Additional Considerations

1. 1. Edukans will provide one finalized pdf module to visually aid the bid preparation process. Bidders may send email with the subject line titled “Request for module sample” to vacancyethiopia@edukans.org to receive the file.
   2. The contract will be awarded to the successful bidder and will become effective after submission and written approval of one pre-production sample (prototype) prior to mass production. Once contract is signed, Edukans will provide all 6 completed materials.
   3. The supplier must ensure consistency in material quality, dimensions, color, finishing, binding and branding throughout the order.
   4. Items that do not conform to approved samples, specifications or agreed quality requirements may be rejected and must be corrected or replaced at no additional cost.
   5. The supplier shall package the finished items in boxes suitable for transport and storage and deliver them safely to Edukans Office without additional cost. (Address stated below).
   6. Delivery is expected within 7 calendar days after the prototype is approved and contract is signed. If the delivery is different from the stated date, bidders must clearly indicate their proposed production and delivery time.
   7. All materials provided for printing are the intellectual property of Edukans Foundation. The printing company shall not reproduce, retain, distribute, or use the materials for any purpose other than fulfilling the printing contract.
   8. Payment term shall be 50% at time of signing contract and 50% after all items are delivered as per the specified quantity and quality. The taxation required will be deducted from each payment.
