Senior Tax Accountant

Job Purpose

The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for ensuring full compliance of Digaf MFI with Ethiopian tax laws and regulations. The role manages tax planning, tax reporting, and tax compliance to minimize tax risks and ensure timely submission of all statutory tax obligations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Tax Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all Ethiopian tax laws and regulations.
• Prepare and file tax returns including:
• • Corporate income tax
  • Withholding tax
  • VAT
  • Payroll taxes
  • Other applicable taxes

Tax Planning

• Provide tax advisory support to management.
• Identify opportunities for tax efficiency while ensuring compliance.

Regulatory Coordination

• Liaise with Ethiopian Ministry of Revenue and other tax authorities.
• Manage tax audits and respond to tax queries.

Tax Reporting

• Maintain accurate tax records and schedules.
• Ensure proper documentation for tax filings.

Internal Tax Advisory

• Advise management on tax implications of business transactions.
• Monitor tax law changes and update management accordingly.
