Job Summary

A Junior Accountant provides essential support to the accounting and finance team by managing routine bookkeeping, processing transactions, and reconciling accounts. Working under the supervision of a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager, they ensure accuracy in daily financial records, assist with month-end closing procedures, and help maintain compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities (Job Description)

• Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders, and prepare payments.
• Issue invoices to clients, track incoming payments, and follow up on overdue accounts receivable.
• Record daily financial transactions and post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Organize, scan, and maintain accurate filing systems for receipts, invoices, and financial documents.
• Perform routine bank reconciliations and reconcile basic balance sheet accounts.
• Cross-check credit card statements and petty cash expenses against receipts.
• Assist senior staff with month-end and year-end financial closing tasks.
• Help gather documentation for internal/external audits and tax preparation.

Software & Tools:

Basic to intermediate knowledge of accounting software

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas, formatting).
